DV...
I wonder if anyone can help me with a question I have from a quiz. I'm
trying to track down what is to be found at the foot of a statue -
Edward the seventh - that is in Saint George's chapel at Windsor.

The only statue I've found is the memorial tomb - can anyone tell me if
there are others? Also, does anyone know if there are photos I can look
at in order to answer the question? I'm a long way from Windsor so its
a bit difficult to call in!

Stephen Stillwell / Tom Wilding...
Try the website for St George's Chapel - there is a "guided" tour with
photos and more on the site.

I have looked there already - but again it didn't prove too conclusive.

I'm assuming you mean this site?

Any other ideas?

Yvonne Demoskoff...
King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra's shared tomb is located on the
south side of the High Altar within St. George's Chapel. At the foot
of the tomb is the marble sculpture of Caesar, the King's favorite
terrier. (Is this perhaps what you are searching for?) I'm not aware
of any other statue or sculpture of King Edward VII in St. George's
Chapel.

For a photo of the tomb and Caesar, see *The Times*, Oct. 13, 1927 (p.
18). For a photo of the tomb (although Caesar is not clearly visible
from what I can tell), see
