Why must society contend with nauseating liberalism just because this
'light-in-the-loafers' sissy was bullied in school?
Lane...
|
Since when is charity liberal? Should everyone stop tithing then?
|
Colin Day...
THE Prince of Wales insists that it would be "criminally negligent" of him
to stop his charity work.
In an interview to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust, to
be broadcast tomorrow, the heir to the throne speaks about the future of
youth organisation.
and not actually want to try and do something about what I find there. I
think that's my duty to do so, if some people don't like it that's too bad,
frankly."
The Prince, who was bullied at boarding school, says that the regime there
inspired him to establish the trust.
Colin Day...
|
Didn't he have bodyguards? Try bullying the children of the President, I
suspect that the Secret Services agents will give the bully some quiet
face time with the floor.
Douglas Berry...
|
You'd be surprised. I used to know a former member of the USSS who
worked the White House detail. Children of protected persons are
given the freedom to be kids. If the Vice-President's 12 year old son
gets in a school-yard shoving match, the protective detail wouldn't
step in unless it reached the point of threatening the life of the
protectee.

Is it just my imagination or is J Young expressing opposition to charity?
Mark Sebree...

Two reasons.
1. Because it is a good cause.
2, Because he is the next ruler of the country (UK).
|
He rules nothing. Him and that old battle-ax, the Queen, are the world's #1
welfare recipients; living off the sweat of the working class. Perhaps if he
had learned to be a man, he's realize that alot of these do-good projects
are nothing more than handouts for the lazy and uninspired.

Well UK could become a Republic and join the rest of the dull states around
this planet.
It would certainly cut down on the vast influx of tourists each summer, if that
jack...
|
Really? Someone ought to tell the likes of France and USA to install a Royal
family because as we all know they get no tourists at all.........not.
bob young...
|
60% of tourists to Britain visit Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London
Donalbain...
|
Getting rid of the monarchy would not mean getting rid of those
buildings. It isnt as if 60% of tourists actually go in and have a cup
of tea with the Queen. Indeed, if we got rid of the monarchy, we could
open up the royal palaces as museums and tourist attractions. Just
imagine being able to see the royal art collection, that would bring in
a few punters.
bob young...
|
A home without people is not a home
- a country without a king or queen is not a country
Donalbain...
|
Thats a truly odd definition of country and not one found in any
dictionary I know of. But hey, if you want to make up your own meanings
to words, then feel free.
bob young...
|
It is a 'personal feeling' not meant to alter the meaning of words.
But I think you already knew that !
|
|
|
|
|
if that
|
be one of your desires. Pity really, tourism is dropping off as it is and
without the old tradfitions what would be left to see?
jack...
|
Erm, lots and lots of history?
|
"Queue here for the buses to Bradford and Sheffield, visit the steel works and
see the working clases having their tea breaks, now now, form an orderly queue
please, thank you....and no cameras please, they are a bit touchy about being
photographed....."

Sounds like you are talking about the RCC. Substitute "Pope" in the
place of "Queen" and it makes as much sense as (if not more than) it did
before the alteration.

I personally don't see where his act is an act of liberalism to be
honest. I see it more as an act of caring for humanity and I personally
think he is doing a noble thing. I don't know if his actions are
genuine or self-centered or not. Often times, you find people in
positions of high authority doing things like this so they can get
ahead in another way. But if his actions are genuine, and they might
very well be, then I think he should be respected for such and honored.
We all need to do more.
