I thought we could try to put links to all the monarchs' Christmas and
new year speeches 2005 in the same thread.

A minor nitpick - what is the correct English name of the Luxembourg
language? I don't think "Luxembourgian" can be right, but I don't know
what it should be.

Thanks for the comment/reminder. Holtzman says the correct word is
Luxemburgian - I tend to use the French name of the country, Luxembourg, but
I guess Luxemburg and Luxemburgian or Luxembourgish are the correct terms.
In Norwegian both forms are correct - Luxembourg and Luxemburg, and the
language would be "luxemburgsk"!

Isn't it Lėtzebuergesch. This is a an interesting link:

The Encyclopedia Britannica lists it as Luxemburgian, though Luxembourgish is also
noted as correct.

The Grand Duke says that he and his wife were offended by rumours about
his family which were not true. If they wanted to communicate something
as a family, they would do so, as they did with Prince Louis (the court
announced earlier this year that the prince is to become a father in
2006).

Not sure what the King of the Belgians has been up to lately - at least
I couldn't find any speech published at the official website. No news
from Monaco or Liechtenstein.
