I know that all of the King of Belgium's descendants will be styled HRH
Princes and Princesses of Belgium, no matter if they are their
descendants by female lines. Does that mean that the husbands of the
King's granddaughters would get the princely title?

The Royal Decree says nothing about the husbands of Princesses or the
wives of Princes. The Royal Decree of 1891 says that Princes' wives are
styled as Princess of Belgium, but the decree of 1991 abolished that
Decree.

Nonetheless I am somewhat doubtful as to whether this really means what it
appears to say. Everything would seem to hinge on the historic interpretation of
the words "en ligne directe". There has been continual misunderstanding
of imperial patents that used similar wording but which only meant the
females born of males in the male line. What is the usual form of words for
the creations of Belgian titles?
