What I'm trying to arrive at in the end is the claim that my ex father in

me

law always made that the Child Villiers family had the Grand Master as some
sort of ancestor. What I never did establish is how!

the_verminator...
Ah ! Now that is a project that would perchance seem to be worthy of
research by members of this group. Should be fun !

Sacha...
Well, I hope someone relishes a challenge....!

Should anyone be interested in doing so they might find the London

VOLUMES AND ALBUMS OF THE 5TH COUNTESS OF JERSEY

FILE - Volume of letters to or from the Villiers family and
letters from famous persons, including European royalty. - ref.
ACC/1128/185 - date: 1358-1829

Good Hunting!

Sacha...
Thank you! But these are known about, I'm afraid and I don't think they
contain any connection with Philippe!

The following link should take you to a list of his grandfather's
descendants to the 12th generation - possibly the relationship is with
one of them.
Can anyone tell me if there is a site listing the descendants of this Grand
Master of the Order of St John? I believe he was Master from 1521 - 1534.

Count Said-Vassallo...
Villiers de L'Lsle Adam didnt have any known descendants, not even
illegitimate. May have had siblings and their descendants. That may be
likely. We are aware of a few Grand Masters with illegitimate
descendants or those who had relatives staying in Malta during ones
reign as Prince of Malta, Grand Master ...

I havent come across it yet.
