I'm making a photo book for the grandparents for Christmas, using one
of the online photo sites. I've looked at Snapfish, Shutterfly, and
the Kodak sites; Snapfish is the cheapest, but I'd like the
books/prints to be of a reasonable quality since I'm spending all this
time on it! Has anyone done this, and do you recommend any site in
particular?

I'll second the recommendation for Shutterfly. The books are
very nice.

They will love it! I've only ever done the books at Shutterfly and the
quality is exceptional. They have all turned out extremely well.
Shutterfly often has really good discounts. web-search 'shutterfly
coupon' and you'll come up with coupon codes that you can
use. If you watch it, they frequently have 20-40% off and then
if you spend a certain amount you can often do free shippin on
top of that. I've done the 8.5X11 books with the suede covers,
they are very nice. Just went to their site, they are having
20% off photo books now (they run this promo alot). They
also have some really nice new layouts. Hmmmm...maybe
I'll do the same for Christmas presents!
I've had prints made from Photoworks, Clubphoto and Winkflash
also. I really do prefer the quality from shutterfly to these (and
photoworks took forever, but they have some nice designs).
I suspect any of the places would do a nice job.
Hope this helps,
Mary W.

Here's an article reviewing online photo book creation sites. The
short version: Shutterfly won.
