Both my kids are rather bad sleepers. The little one is a bit better
but she's still nursing. They are almost 3 and almost 1.5 yo. I want to
buy the Ferber book to see if it can help me.

Does Ferber method address kids of this age?
Does Ferber method address a baby who's still breastfeeding?

I'm really frustrated and would like to give it a sincere try. Please
suggest. Thanks.

Read it and make your own judgement IMO. Too much horse pucky has been
touted about the Ferber's ideas by people who have never read the book. It
is a short book.

It worked for us, at least partially.

When we did it with our son he was around 9-10 months old and was
breastfeeding. My goal wasn't to stop feeding him at night, it was to
be able to put him down after feeding without hours of rocking. I just
modified it that way - if he woke, I'd offer him nursing, but when he
was done would follow the basic process.

It didn't turn him into a good sleeper - he *still* wakes up at night
sometimes, and he's 3 1/2! - but at least it meant I didn't have to
spend so much of my own sleep time getting him back to sleep.
