Mommy_123...
Hey there
We recently introduced our 3 yr old son to stand up and pee. Any tips
on how to improve his aim? Because we tried a few times yesterday and
he can't really focus and hit the water.

bizby40...
Sit him back down again. There's no reason to teach a boy to stand
up to pee. He'll probably start doing it on his own later, but by
then he'll be taller and his coordination will have improved.

Thankyou so much.

Barbara...
Warning -- gross factor ahead. How about when it is hit by fecal
matter (assuming that the toilet was not used only for urine). I just
wouldn't want to have that thing constantly floating around in there.

As someone else mentioned, I've heard Cheerios work well. I honestly
don't recall having this problem with One ... at least not then!

dragonlady...
I don't, either -- in fact, I asked DH last night if he ever remembered
"teaching" our son to stand and pee, or how to aim. He doesn't, either

LAdezio...
We used to lay a square of toilet paper on the surface of the water and
tell our sons to try to sink it (it will float for a bit before it
eventually sinks on its own). If you want a very visible target, use
colored toilet paper.

JennP...
Have him sit until he can at least hit the toilet the majorityof the time.
My ds is 5 and still misses sometimes if he's not paying attention.

Jeff...
In the meantime, take him on walks through the woods. Give him plenty to
drink. He will get practice.
