The daycare I used a few years ago had such good luck with nap time CD's
that I thought I'd get one or two to use at home with these babies. I
figured if I started it with them once they had regular naps that it might
help them (and maybe me) keep to a nap time routine easier as they got
older. Plus I really loved going into the daycare and hearing that nice
peaceful music playing during quiet time, lol.
This is a ways away but I probably won't have time to go CD shopping in 12
months, lol.
Any recommendations for CD's that fit the bill?

We used Hush Little Baby and Lullabies from Many Lands by MM GAA
corporation when the grandkids were really young.
It appears that the company has been taken over by some other company,
so I don't know if these are still being made. They had the lullabies
on them in heartbeat rhythm and they worked really well with dgd and
dgs.

No specific recommendations, but I would suggest not
limiting yourself to "kid" music (not that you said you would).
If it takes, you'll be hearing it a lot, so it may as well be
something you enjoy too ;-) I would be inclined to stick
with something that doesn't have a great deal of dynamic
contrast (you don't want the cannon waking babes at the
end of the 1812 Overture), but just about anything else
goes. I'd say stick with something soothing and quiet-ish,
but heck, seems like kids fall asleep to all sorts of
stuff you wouldn't normally think of as soothing ;-)
Best wishes,
Ericka
