kruga...
I was reading the newspaper recently and I came across an article on
the link between children, media and their health. I came up with an
hypothesis as well:

"Children who are exposed to a variety of media devices encounter a
high chance of a health complexity"

How far do you agree with this?

toto...
What the he!! is a health complexity?

Penny Gaines...
I assumed it meant ill-health. But I also assumed that "media devices"
means devices that transmit media - eg computer, TV, playstations etc.
On reflection, it might be something like "marketing strategies and
similar".

I disagree with the hypothesis, if my interpretation of the terms is
correct.

My hypothesis:
"People who use unusual terms without explaining them encounter a high
chance of irrelevant discussion of the topic."

Jen...
That's exactly what I was wandering. And what exactly is this link between
children, media, and their health?

If you're going to say something, actually *saying* it would maybe be
useful!

Jeanne...
You need to define the following terms in your "hypothesis":

Children (0-17? 0-3? 12-17? Different ages react differently)
Media devices - I haven't a clue what these are
High chance - well, what is a high chance? 75% 80% 90%
Health complexity - ?????!!

Using plain English, what are you thinking?

Jeff...
I don't agree with this.

A better statement is, "Children who are exposed too much inappropriate
media eat less healthy diets and fail to get enough exercise, leading to
various health problems."

kruga...
Any one that agrees with my hypothesis. give views please?

Chookie...
My view is that you aren't going to get a good mark on this assignment.

Caledonia...
I'm equally perplexed.

I can understand what a less-healthy diet is (I was baffled by the OP's
'health complexity' -- to me, it sounded like kids exposed to GPS
receivers, cell phones, DVD/CD/VCR players etc. would become the
'worried well,' which is an interesting idea but I'm not sure it's
workable), but saying 'too much inappropriate' is really quite vague.
