Daddy showering with 7 year old daughter !

I am a "soon-to-be" step dad of a wonderful 7-year old girl. It has
been brought to her mothers and my attention that she still takes
showers with her father when she is at her bi-weekly visitation. We
are outraged over this and are taking steps to see this stops
immediately. We just wanted other opinions on this. Many parents may
do this at a much younger age, but at 7 years old - I think not !

Yeah, let's take the entire nation of Japan and remove custody of all their
children (that's what you're aiming at, right, as to "taking steps blah
blah...").

I think there *is* a concern, though. Who is this peeping Tom who brought this
to your attention? Perhaps you'll need to take action against that person.

Can you say why you think this is wrong? If the daughter is not
comfortable doing so then of
course they should no longer shower together, but if she is happy to do
so then I don't see any problem. She will develop her own modesty in
due course, probably quite soon.

How was it brought to your attention?

Do you think it is also wrong for mothers to shower with their 7 year
old sons?
