Pat...
I am trying to locate information related to Castleton China which was
a subsidiary of Shenango Pottery of New Castle, Pa. I have some pieces
of a pattern that has a white center, a gold ring around the white,
then a pinky/peachy rim surrounded by a gold beaded edge. The rim of
the dish is also wavy, called "gadrooned". The pieces resemble the
Regal or Royal patterns that you can see at various sites online, but I
cannot locate the exact pattern name (and neither can
Replacements.com). I would like more info. re: how to locate pictures
of Castleton china; I have done extensive searching online and have
been unsuccessful. All of the references lead to Eva Zeisel, who did
some designing for Castleton in the 40's. I want to know the exact
name of the pattern so I can search for more.

Kris Baker...
I believe this is it, from ReplacementsLimited's website:

They call it "C10". It's on the same blank as the Castleton Peony
items I have right now.

Kris Baker...
What you describe, isn't an Eva Zeisel type of design. She was
(actually still IS) a modern designer and didn't play with gilding,
scrolling, or gadroons. She reinvented shapes, and I'm not
aware of her actually designing any "pattern" other than plain
colors. Here's an example of what she did for Castleton:

Have you looked on that "big auction site"? Just do a periodic
search for "Castleton China", and look at the pictures. Most
Castleton has the pattern name on the back, but some do not.
