Hello all,
When I moved into my apartment, I found what appears to be some old
household products in the back of a cabinet. The condition of the
bottles ranges from good, with only minor rust spots, to poor, with the
bottom nearly corroded out. Each bottle has some of the product left
inside, some more full than others.
Are these worth anything? I'm sure I can't ship them with chemicals in
them, but are they worth trying to sell locally? Or should I just take
them to a household chemical disposal center and be rid of them?
See a picture of them:

The (always) empty containers of some household products do
attract an audience, but I'm afraid yours don't fall in that
category. Yours aren't old enough, nor are they "fun" items
like spice tins or pretty bath products.
Your containers look to be 1960s or newer. Look for zip
codes in the manufacturer addresses (1963 and newer), and
scanning codes (barcodes) are 1975 on up.
You can't ship your items by air, and if you ship them at
all, they require MSDS documentation. Best to put them
with the other hazardous waste at your local collection
facility....especially that cleaning fluid, which could cause
groundwater contamination and is probably an illegal
product.
Sorry -
Kris
