Dumb question I know...but...what is a car boot sale? Is that like a
flea market in the USA? Anyone who has something to sell loads up their
car, pays for space and sells whatever they can?

Thanks Lee, sounds like what we call a flea market to me.

Now I have another one, what is the dodgems? I'm sure it's spelled wrong
but that's the best I can do. I heard it used in "As Time Goes By". Jean
tells her sister-in-law she met Lionel on the dodgems. It got a laugh
and I've always wondered why.

Ok,Ok, I'll add something. Half a teaspoon of salt and stir slowly over
a medium heat,remove from heat and let stand while thickening...
