It is marked Coronado H&C Made in Bohemia Patented July 20th 1937 with
a V and Czechoslavakia at the bottom! I have looked around the
marketplaces and havnt really seen much to compare with! I have service
for twelve in like new condition. Any Ideas on how I can get an
accurate appraisal or where to try to sell them?

I think they're beautiful. Ask to bring them out on special
holidays (and if there's kids involved, teach them how to
set a proper table, with linens, silverware, etc). Make it
a family custom, and they'll fight over it in 20 years.

I'm sorry, but when exposed to a potential audience of
millions on "that big online auction site", 29 pieces didn't
sell for $80.
Why don't you keep them, and use them? There's nothing
sadder than Grandma's china that was "kept nice" and never
fondly remembered. Maybe YOU can start a tradition of
actually using things?

I'm with you Kris. I encourage everyone to use the items they have... with
some care. Nothing worse than having a daughter-in-law sell the precious
china at a yard sale for a quarter a piece. When my children get my stuff
it's going to be well used.
With that said you can check out ebay and see what it's selling for and the
replacements.com web site will give you idea also, but keep in mind they
usually price things at twice what they are worth in the real world.

I've found that Replacements sells for about 4* eBay, and double
elsewhere. But they have what you need right now.

I am on the look out for about 8 different Franciscan patterns and 3
different ruby stained patterns ...they run about double what I can pay on
ebay (ruby stained a little less than double). I use to love replacements
and bought from them frequently, but with ebay the prices went WAY up and I
rarely buy from them.
I just bought some bowls for my parents and I'd be checking replacements and
ebay for about 4 years. 12 came up and I just bought them on the spot.
There were 2 things about replacements I use to love and could count on...
you could get what you wanted and when they came they were perfect. These
bowls had rust spots on them and with some work and Clorox soft scrub I got
them white again. I was disappointed that the quality had dropped as the
prices have risen. This is the 2nd time in the past 2 years that I've been
disappointed by their quality. I could have mailed it back and got a
refund, but just didn't bother. I just will make careful decisions about
buying from them from now on.

That's odd, because when they buy from you, they insist on the
best quality possible. I've been lucky in that regard.
What Franciscan patterns are you looking for? I see lots of it
here, and might be able to help you.
