Help with Chinese Porcelain

We are trying to understand the history of Chinese techniques to create
images in porcelain which are only visible when the pots are filled
with a liquid. Does any have in information on this topic. Thank you!

Are you sure you're not talking about "lithophanes" -
"pictures" that show up when an item is held towards
the light, due to less density in the porcelain?
For instance, lithophanes were often put in the base
of teacups....and when cup was emptied and held
up, the drinker could see the picture.
Like the others, I'm unfamiliar with an image that
shows on "a pot" when liquid is merely added.
The only similar thing I can think of, are those
"girlie glasses" of the 1950s where a cold
liquid causes the girl's bathing suit to disappear
and see her naked.

ah, lithophane. Thanks Kris, for finding the word that was on the tip of my
granny's tongue when she was talking about these! : ) I shall be happy to
let her know I found out just what she was talking about.

You've never seen the glasses, the naked girls, or something
else shrunk in the cold water?
