Hi there-

I began collecting EAPG about a year and a half ago and have a nice
little collection going. This compote followed me home last week and I
have yet to figure out who made it and how old it is.

It is 5 3/4" tall, 7 3/8" wide (Base is 3 1/2" wide). It appears to
have six seams running up the sides and a few bubbles in the glass. The
stem has six small raised ovals around the middle and the stem itself
is solid.

I realize that Hobnail has been done by many different companies. Just
thought that possibly one of the experts here might recognize it.
Thanks for any help you might offer. (This is still a great forum!)

Without digging into the books in the shop, I can't come up with a
maker, but you might try Thousand Eye rather than Hobnail in your
searching. I love EAPG, but it can be a bear to ID, a single piece can
send me leafing through a few thousand pages to get a pattern name at
times.

Happy collecting!
Jessica

I looked in a couple of books including McCain's "Pattern Glass" and
one on depression glass and couldn't find a match. Finding a pattern
anme can be a real treasure hunt.
