ok one more...

I grabbed this at a yard sale for like 10 bucks...tarnished to high
heaven.

searched the web for around and checked ebay past and present to no avail...any
insights?

very new to this, any info appreciated

Kris Baker...
Whoever sold you these silverplated items, got them free (or at
low cost) through the Betty Crocker coupons.

I hope you didn't buy more than the two items you're
showing us, because you paid a lot more than
they're worth. Completed eBay listings show that

Andy Dingley...
Oh come on - anything is worth a mere $10 if you like the style and
you're planning on actually using it, even if it's just to water the
houseplants.

Kris Baker...
OK, watering plants. I'll go for that. One.

the matching teapot didn't sell for $14.99, or even
when marked down to $9.99. That seller
even tried saying it had "original patina" ;)

I really wasn't expecting anything, so it's not the worst of news.
Seems this place likes to beat on the newbs...just asked a few
questions. Thanks folks.

Kris Baker...
Why is being truthful "beating" on you? You asked a
question, we took the time to answer. Some of us
did research (which is how I found the coffee pot linked
to Betty Crocker coupons).

Next time, tell us first what you want to hear.

you know me...
Being truthful with opinions vs. being truthful with fact I guess...if
something lacks value you can just say it's not collectible...not 'why
are you buying this?'

That was all.

Thanks for the help.

rhiannon...
Gee, when T told you it wasn't collectible you called him snooty!
