I'm a newbie here and have only lurked so far. I don't want to offend
anyone, but years ago I purchased a pair of KKK glasses in southern Ohio.
The woman I bought them from said they had been her uncle's (she was
approximately 45 at the time). I believe they are crystal. My question is,
how would I go about trying to sell them? I have absolutely no use for such
an item, but believe there may be collectors of such things that would be
interested. Possibly they should be donated to a museum.
Thanks for any help you can give, and please forgive me if this is in any
way an inappropriate question for this group.

Check out some antique malls in your area and if you feel comfortable,
ask some long-term booth owners if they know of anyone who has an
interest in such stuff. I find it hard to believe that glasses would
be desirable, but I don't know anything about it, actually. You could
also put an ad in a trade weekly.

Was this within the past 20 years? Do they have any signs of
wear on them?
I smell fake/fantasy items. Belt buckles, medallions, coins,
and other "shocking" items were sold as antiques from about
1975 onward. Whether it's a KKK item, a naked nun belt
buckle, or a "wrong" Coca Cola item, it's likely something new
made to look old.
Why not contact Morris Dees and ask him what should
be done about items like that?
