nj_dilettante...
I have an opportunity to pick up a large set of Fire-King Swirl Azur-ite
pieces. But, because there's so many of them and they're all perfect, I'm
concerned about their authenticity.

They're not marked with a number, and don't say "MADE IN U.S.A."

I searched the web for, but couldn't find any info on proper marks - these have only:

OVEN
Fire-King
GLASS

Are these reproductions? Fakes? Later-produced pieces?

Any help appreciated! Thanks --

From my books it looks like Swirl Azur-ite was made in the 1960s, they
do not list it as being reproduced. They don't show the backs or what
should be on the backs, but the pictures show a paper label that says
they are made in Ohio.

Hope this helps,
Marie

Anchor Hocking IS reproducing some patterns and colors (especially Jadite),
but they're always a bit different and have updated markings.

Fire-King is best found in large quantities at small prices....but "swirl"
patterns haven't been the most popular (IMO).
