I found a table at a garage sale and am trying to find out if it is an
antique and if I should insure it. I've never seen anything like it.
It is a card or game table, appx. 30 in. square. The top folds down so
it looks almost like a picture on a stand. It is an inlay type top
(veneer I suppose) and the inlay is in a star type pattern made up of
triangles. So it is a square table top and in the middle of the table
top is a large circle and within that circle is a is a 6 point star
made up of triangles in different types of wood. Also, in the "V"s of
the star there are diamonds, clubs, spades, and hearts. There is also
a design on the edges of the table that looks almost like a rope.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone recommend a website or
book that might have this style of furniture in it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please provide an image, like Jessica asked.
I found this (reproduction) on the web - although it folds in a
different manner:

I've seen lots of card tables, I don't think I've seen one quite like
what you are describing though. Can you post a photo to your webspace
and give us the link?
The only way that you would be able to insure it would be by getting a
written insurance appraisal. Depending on your homeowners policy it
may be covered without the purchase of a rider, talk to your agent.
