Rained out baseball game got higher ratings than 2nd Stanley Cup game

According to USA Today the rained out Yankees-Red Sox baseball game on
ESPN that
never started got higher ratings than the second Stanley Cup game. Now
that is funny.

I keep forgetting the hockey playoffs are even on. Literally.
Sometimes I come across highlights on ESPN and think "oh yeah, that's
right!"

Moving to OLN wasn't the healthiest thing the league could've done,
though I don't know if they had a choice. I guess they could've
offered a sweetheart deal to ESPN2 or FSN.

Same article said it is possible that the Sat. night Stanley Cup game
might produce the
lowest broadcast network prime-time rating ever.

Edmonton is not counted in the ratings, the Hurricanes are in a
mid-size southern
market and Saturday is TV's least watched night. It would have to get
lower than a 1.3%
rating to set a new record.

But on hockey nights, the streets are deserted.
