Project Runway

Thoughts on last night? I was pleased with Uli's dress; disappointed
majorly in Michael's (why did he not do sportswear?), bored with
Laura's and astounded at how the judges ripped up Jeffrey's. Who will
have the best runway collection?

I'm betting on Michael, Laura, Jeffrey and Uli, in that order.

I tend to agree with your order but disagree with some of your
comments. I would agree that Michael does sportswear well, but I don't
think his dress was a bad design at all. Laura's dress was a good
design and a followed along with the more risque design she did last
week. Yes, she's not breaking totally new ground, but she did stick
with a style she does well.

Jeffrey made a huge mistake in his design. His dress was a horrible
mess. I liked the color and it might have looked good had he used
better materials. That white material that was closed off at the
bottom made her look like a balloon waiting for someone to fill her
with air. A really poor choice and it shows how he has issues when he
tries to get away from his strength (edgy rock style clothes.)

Uli also seemed to do a dress that I felt looked much like her other
dresses. Yes, it wasn't as free flowing as what she done before but it
really didn't seem that different to me.

Only Michael seems to do well at stepping outside his known strength,
and even he has issues. I suppose if they their own line they may
learn and grow as designers and be able to design clothes outside of
their main style, but it's going to take time. I do think that Michael
has the best shot at doing that.
