CW Unveils Fall Schedule

The CW has announced its initial 2006-07 schedule at the Television
Critics Association. The season kicks off on Sept. 20 with a special
two-hour presentation of America's Next Top Model. The new lineup will
be rolled out over a two-week period.

The following is the full announced schedule:

Wednesday, September 20

8:00-10:00 p.m. Special Two-Hour Premiere of America’s
Next Top Model

Friday, September 22

8:00-10:00 p.m. FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN

8:00-9:00 p.m. 7TH HEAVEN

Is this now confirmed? Explaining Simon's absence shouldn't be a
problem. Explaining Ruthie's absence will be a *big* problem.

Why even have it on anymore?? If most of the main are gone then why

Sunday, October 1

7:00-7:30 p.m. EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS

Why would they put EHC at 7pm on Sunday? I'd think a
9pm slot would be better. (Maybe 10pm but WB/CW/UPN doesn't
do 10pm.)

Everybody Hates Chris probably has more "kids and family" appeal than
almost any other show on the CW's fall schedule. Sunday at 7 p.m. looks
like a reasonable time slot for it.

What!! I don't like the idea of this at all. What are they thinking...
Gilmore Girls historically has had really good season premiere numbers
they are only hurting Veronica mars by delaying it a week and it was
just posted that "House" will be at 8pm for the first four weeks to
help boost the ratings for "Standoff" when it premieres.

Possible, but unlikely. Gg has never done two-hour premieres before
and this is the sort of thing that would be getting news coverage even
now if that was what they were doing.

Wouldn't Hosue premiere in late October/November seeing has how
Fox has baseball playoffs/world series?

I though VM was running uninterrupted arc episodes this season. Maybe that
explains the later start. A continuous run probably would take them through
November sweeps.

"House" will air 4 episodes prior to baseball, but it's being
temporarily moved to 8:00.
