She turns 50 in February, not exactly retirement age but for a woman in
showbiz she isn't as
young looking anymore and we all know how much that means in the world
of TV.

That puts your new material in with the quote, at least to start, and

She will be there as long as Pat S. is on. She's just part of the package
the "makes" the show.
"They" will put more makeup on her and use less close shots.

I've kind of wondered that myself. There was a time she seemed to have
other ambitions but now all she does is turn the letters.

Yeah, LOL, I noticed that at one point and realized her job had evolved
from silly to completely, utterly, and totally useless! Very funny.
