Not just from the regulars, but all around. The guy playing "Hands"
just pays his character so very well.... and really makes the

He won an Emmy last year for "Best Guest Actor" for his portrayal of

Christian Clemson... he's quite an actor.
He has a long film career, too. Most recently, I believe, United 93.

Was he the dude who looked like a grim version of Joss Whedon?

writing/acting combo work. Delta Burke is doing great, too.

The acting may be good, but the writing is horrible. Gone is the depth
that was seen in the previous 2 years, where characters questioned
their motivations. Suddenly everything is a joke, and people are
caricatures. Lincoln is over the top, Jerry is okay once in a while,
but he's been on every episode. The small person is getting tiring,
Delta Burke tackling Shatner was a waste of time. What limited
development there is (Shirly/Coho, Coho/rest of the staff) is
overshadowed by the silliness.

Good actors are given film roles. Over-the-top and/or washed-up actors
who can no longer get good film scripts offered to them go and do
network prime-time TV dramas.

That was true 50 years ago. No one thinks that way today.

TV is so much better than the movies. Hour-long, anyway.

Today it's more a matter of older actors who can longer star in huge
blockbuster films and are being shoved into supporting roles who do
network television in part because it allows them to continue playing
meatier characters. The production values and pay on network TV has
improved to the point where TV isn't as much of a step down anymore
and I imagine that it's also a good way to keep your face in front of
the public so movie producers will cast your in supporting roles in
movies shot during your show's hiatus.

The Lincoln character is way over-the-top, even for "Boston Legal". And

I thought he was one of the creepiest characters on TV. But yeah at
times it did
go a little over-the-top.

Delta is the victim of bad plastic surgery - not only does she look
half-Chinese, but one of her eyelids is chronically drooping.
