What was Jon Stewart saying about Scientology and Hollywood?

It appeared to be an off camera joke while a commercial was running and
he was facing to the left and then all of a sudden he realized that the
commercial was over and he faced the camera and got into another
subject. Anyone know what the joke or observation was?

I thought he was doing a "I'm making an joke about a subject I shouldnt be
but didn't realise we were back from commercials so early" type joke only he
did it too early when they WERNT back from commercials already

The joke was that he was faking that he was making a joke about
Sc!entology between commercials and was "caught" off-guard coming back
from the commercial break. (IOW, the joke is that there was no joke,
Neo.) It was a way to be nasty about the cult without saying the joke
directly to the cultists in the audience.

Scientology during the commercial break. It was hilarious.
