Sometime around 1966-1967 ABC/NBC/CBS (one of the three) experimented
with running two 45 minute shows in prime time. Together, they took up
three half-hour slots.

One of the shows was a music show, I think.

The other one is the one I am trying to remember. The premise was that

a large group of teenagers became marooned on a deserted island. Their
adult chaperones all died right away. These kids had to start a new

Richard Kiley, who survived to narrate the tour on Jurassic Park (they
spared no expense)

These kids had to start a new

society/culture/civilization all by themselves. It was a social
comment -- in those days everyone my age was of the mindset that
current society was going down the toilet, and these kids had a chance
of a lifetime to put flower-power in charge.

I can't remember anything about the show other than that it existed.
What was it's name? Who was in it? What was the name of the partner
show?
