He's billed as "The Destroyer".
A being so scary even the water-loving squid-things were afraid of him.
Instead we get a human teenager who would probably get eaten alive by
those water-squids. They were afraid of this... boy??? I don't buy
it. And as season 4 continues onward, Conner becomes weaker and
weaker.
"The Destroyer comes"?

Part of Buffy and Angel's plotlines were that the "ultimate" evil was
ALWAYS coming, nearly every week. How do you top, the top? Angel
probably got desperate, especially when they cut the budget in half
near the last year.

You never learned to not judge a book by it's cover?

The cover is fine, but when I opened it up (watched Conner's actions),
I did not see a being dangerous enough to frighten the water-loving
squid-things.
Those water-squids were afraid of Conner? Ha. Yeah right. They would
have devoured him.

Maybe they werre afraid to devour him because they knew he would have a
bitter taste. Some people are bitter, you know?

Agreed. I was never impressed with the character, nor the Darla storyline.
I guess he, just like Dawn on Buffy, was supposed to represent teenage
angst. Quite frankly, Claire on 6 Feet Under did it a lot better than these
two.
In the end, Conner was nothing more than a plot device: disbelieve Angel
when he told the truth, gleefully believe anything Evil Cordelia told him no
matter how lame and ridiculous and throw tantrums to create tension.
