"Pilot"
7-18-06 Eureka

Mike Huskey...
3.5 stars.

Is there a link between the dog, and the Advanced Research Facility. =
A.R.F.
Arf arf? :-)

5 stars (Archimedes)

0-1 stars (Alfried Krupp)

erilar...
I liked the Archimedes kid particularly 8-) Pretty good, actually,
especially for a Scifi channel "original"!! (Unlike their movies!)

I plan to keep watching it. (I had taped it and just watched it tonight)

3.7 at least

Michael Bowker...
4.0 I liked it. Sort of a cross between "Twin Peaks", "Wolf Creek",
"Northern Exposure", and a little "4400" for spice.

Arthur Lipscomb...
Anyone else remember Eerie Indiana?

Anim8rFSK...
Yep. Best ep was the one where he found he was on a TV show, with Mary
Margaret Humes as his motorcycle mama!

I tried to watch the revival but couldn't handle it.

Arthur Lipscomb...
Yeah, I also thought it looked like Friday the 13th.

Ken from Chicago...
Reminded me of an episode of THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Anthony Cerrato...
Definitely 5 stars! Good actors and good chemistry--kudos to
casting. Much more like Northern Exposure/Picket Fences
meets X-Files, with a touch of Dr. Who maybe I think. I
liked it a lot! Good fun! BTW, since I use CC all the time
(anyone over 50 should! It's a great "helper") I didn't even
notice Frewer's bad accent...well, not too much anyway.

Jason Maxwell...
Northern Exposure meets MIB (Without the aliens to this point) was my
feeling

Ken from Chicago...
3.5 Nice.

rrhersh...
3.5, which is impressive considering I usually dislike pilots.

But... Did I hear right that the army colonel took over from the DoD
agent because it was now a matter of national security? Ummm... What
do they think "DoD" stands for? Please tell me I heard it wrong.

Mark Nobles...
You heard right. It boggled me, too.

Tim Bruening...
I too was surprised that an army colonel would take over from a Department
of Defense agent, since I thought that the DoD has jurisdiction over ALL
members of the U.S. Armed Forces!

Russell Watson...
If only he had been Army it would have been bad enough, but the
colonel was a MARINE. His cap and the gold Force Recon paratrooper
wings (Army and USAF wear silver-colored ones and they're shaped
differently) gave him away, but even if they hadn't no Army Special
Forces guy would have spoken so proudly of the capabilities of his
underling, whom he did identify as a Force Recon when warning the
marshall what the guy would do to him.

And yes, as a non-military DoD official the woman probably should have
been in charge. But they had to have the requisite "guy who's chomping
at the bit to shut them down" (or his twin, "the guy who wants to take
them over for strictly military research") and if the guy didn't have
enough power to be a threat it wouldn't mean much, so there you have
it.

Anim8rFSK...
I could tell you that, but I'd be lying.

Tim Bruening...
Which kid is the Autistic Kid?

Anim8rFSK...
The black kid; DOD agent's son.

Tim Bruening...
I thought that he was a math whizz, not necessarily autistic. Not all math
experts are autistic.

Anim8rFSK...
DOD agent said "My son is autistic"

Donna B...
Autistic was the best explanation for his communication issues. I couldn't

Anim8rFSK...
DOD agent SAID he was autistic.

I couldn't

decide if he was an autistic savant or not. Maybe he just used Math as his
only mode of communication.

Love this show, times two here, so we figure it will be cancelled right off.

I really liked it....

Hobart Floyt...
3 stars (whoever invented Post-it (tm) notes).

elf...
Was that Romy or Michelle? I get them confused.

Although I tried to remember it was the initial episode
with a bunch of necessary introduce the characters,
set the scene, introduce the premise, etc. stuff, it moved
kind of slow to me and none of the characters really
interested me. It seemed rather like a follow-the-

elf...
Sometimes an hour is not enough and two hours is too much, but 90 minutes
is a problem when it comes to repeating episodes or selling them into
syndication. They either have to cut out a third of the episode or film
extra scenes during production to pad it to two hours so it can then be
broken into two one-hour episodes. Neither option is very attractive to
producers.

numbers formula based on recent shows like "Lost",
"Desperate Housewives", etc. I may watch future
episodes just to play "spot the "Stargate" actors".

The preview (which I actually tried to MISS but was
caught unaware because I was looked at snowboarding
magazines) of "Battlestar Galactica" looked not very
appealing except for Gaius saying "For god's sake,
please, shoot me!" Go ahead, raise my hopes that the
pathetic twerp finally gets nailed...

elf...
Yeah, I bet all the vehicles on New Caprica are now sporting "Don't blame
me, I voted for Roslin" bumper stickers.

Anim8rFSK...
Hah! What he said!

trike...
5, Archimedes.

Really nicely done, with a lot of actors I like.

auzerais...
I really like watching Colin Ferguson. He is one amazingly hot looking
guy. Kinda like Mike Rowe from "Dirty Jobs".

Barry Margolin...
I thought he looked like he could be Joel Gretsch's ("The 4400") brother.

I remember seeing Colin in a number of things.

shawn...
3.0 It's not bad but it's not as involving as it could be.
