telenovels...
I watched this show a second time this past weekend.

I don't know why, but I find it really fascinating. Especially when
they are discussing the primitive "predators" like giant shrimp. I
never imagined a shrimp could be considered "the earth's most dangerous
predator" but apparently 200 million years ago, it was.

I also enjoyed seeing the housecat-sized spider & the man-sized(!)
centipede. Awesome. Makes me wish I had a time machine, so I could
send back a small Mars-type rover to study ancient biology.

They ought to make more of these shows.
Enough about dinosaurs & cavemen.
Let's see what existed *before* the dinosaurs arrived.

Mark Nobles...
Nope. Not then either.

For 3 billion years or so, there were a lot of single-cell creatures.

Invid Fan...
Then he evolved into higher life forms?

Col. Harland Sanders...
No, God made the dinosaurs.

bklyntv...
Who made God?

David...
God, Sr. and Mrs. God

Mark Nobles...
Known to their friends as El and Wisdom, respectively.

bklyntv...
And who made them?

David...
Though you could also ask the science version of the same question.
How did the universe come about? And how did whatever was there before
the universe come to be? And so on. At some point you would have to
get to "nothing existed and something came out of nothing" and that's
pretty mindblowing in itself.

jayembee...
Exactly.

Basically, we have two competing "theories":

(A) The universe either always existed or sprang into existence from
nothing.

(B) The universe was created by God, who either always existed or
sprang into existence from nothing.

Since "A" contains fewer assumptions, Occam's Razor would suggest
that it's the more likely.
