Theme song was

H , E , double N, E

S, S, Y spells Hennessy (or was it S, E, Y spells Hennesey? I think the
former)
Anyone remember the name of a sitcom set on a US Navy Base, and made in the
1950's or early 60s? The main character was an older woman, sort of a
sardonic blonde wisecracker. It had a pretty good theme tune, sort of swing
band with a Naval theme.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions.

Quasi-OT here, but didn't McHale's Navy really, really suck?! lol

record.hunter...
It did, but it had Virgil, who never put on a shirt.

Wow. Except for the woman part, I'd think you meant HENNESSEY.

My first thought too. Funny thing is, I remember Abby Dalton more than
I do Jackie Cooper. So maybe that's why the poster thinks the main
character was a woman? The desription (sardonic blonde wisecracker)
fits, too.

Jude Cormier...
Has anyone ever played that one in reruns?
