Fox to see more 'Vanished'
Net orders 3 more scripts, but no guarantee for pickup
By JOSEF ADALIAN

Fox is giving "Vanished" an early vote of confidence, ordering three
additional scripts of the new missing-person drama. While no guarantee
of a full-season pickup, move is a sign that net execs are encouraged
by the show's early ratings

Nice. Unlike so many here who thought it boring, I enjoyed it. I
can't wait for them to reveal more of what's behind the kidnapping.
They actually made me want to look up 2 Samuel 12:7 or whatever verse
they referenced .

I'm liking it, too. However, one thing that's starting to bug me about
shows with season-long mysteries is what happens when they get canceled.

"Invasion" and "Surface" spring to mind. After watching all season and
getting essentially through half the story, the viewer is left with no

Also Earth 2. Space Above & Beyond. Dark Skies.

My solution.... tape all the new Vanished episodes. Once I hear that
it's guaranteed a season 2, I'll go ahead and watch it.

Else, I'll erase it.

That's a very good idea. I think I'll do that, too. I can't deal with
another PASADENA. Or REUNION. Or that ABC show with Sean Faris. BTW, if
you like Jon Foster, who was also in that ABC show, I read yesterday
he's playing the main character in the movie version THE MYSTERIES OF
PITTSBURGH, the Michael Chabon book.

I think season 1 is meant to be a complete story so if it makes it that
long it should be enough.

resolution and that makes viewers like me hesitant to start watching
such shows in the future.

Pidge...
Wow, that's very surprising. I'd like to see it last a season but I really
have my doubts.

Bill Steele...
So, if the show is cancelled, the kidnap victim will never be rescued?
