Academy Awards - so dull this year

Ok I like Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. He is funny and has good
commentary.
Tonight he was so dull. At one point I thought Chris Matthews took over
his body with the slobbering over all the nomines in his speech. Good
lord the king of fawning - the reverse of Chris Rock.
If you are going to have someone fawning like that you might as well
have the king of movie fawning Chris Matthews.

I couldn't believe that song about Pimps one. Although they had the more
spontaneous acceptance speech then anyone else.

Clooney could have been a bit happier winning his Oscar. I got the clear
impression he wished it had been for director. Sorry he should have been
much happier.

Did they go a bit overboard tonight with thanking their mothers. Hoffman
took the prize for praising mothers. Still it seemed like a "my mom is
better then your mom" at times.

Charlize Theron's dress with that big bow on the shoulder looked AWFUL.
Ziyi Zhang looked so adorable in her gown.

The best unscripted moment was the Jennifer Afflick near slide. Best
moment of the night. Sad.

Guy Bannis...

Not as sad as Lauren Bacall losing her lines (not the ones on her face).

What's with all the flesh-colored gowns?! Boring.

Gotta see some film noir movies. They looked cool.

Still dull, dull, dull. SAG Awards were much better with no host. Next
year Oscars should do the same - no host.
Jon Stewart was to me the worst host yet.
