Put it on 'mature' shows like the Shield or the Closer.
Get America used to the idea that "it's just a body, not a sin" to view
a naked chest.
Like European TV.

I've been expecting a channel like Comedy Central or FX to break the nudity
barrier for a few years now. I suspect the reason they haven't has something
to do with a certain wardrobe malfunction.

Of course, there's implied nudity on reality shows like Survivor and
Fear Factor and Cheaters. Some of the people really do go naked--most
famously Richard Hatch, the winner of Survivor Season 1. But the film
editors carefully digitally fuzz over the naughty bits.
(And Cheaters sells the "uncensored" versions of their episodes on DVD,
where you can see the cheating spouses cavorting in full display.)

Comedy central airs standup comedy and "uncut and uncensored" movies late at
night. Well, not quite uncut and uncensored. All the dialogue and profanity
is uncut but any female nipples are still censored.
.
With FX it's pretty much the same story. Nip/Tuck has R-Rated subject matter
but the amount of skin they show is PG. The same with The Shield and Rescue
Me. In Nip/Tuck's case, they actually do show quite a few breasts but the
nipples are always either covered with something, or as in the case of the
last episode, not there because a dog ate it. (no lie)

It was really funny. They showed the breast with no nipple, and they
showed the nipple detached, but they couldn't show the breast with the
nipple. It shows how silly the whole subject is.

BBCA may be the only cable channel to regularly air nudity.
