No NBC Digital OTA on Wed 1/25 in Los Angeles

Did anyone else experience that problem last night? On what is usually 4.1, HD
OTA for NBC, I got instead 4.2 content, which is the NBC Weather station. Does
any know what might have happened?

Stuff like that happens when you are watching TV transmissions in
testing mode. Reliability should improve when NTSC transmissions
end in 2009 or later... only 4 more years.

I was being serious. Most OTA HD broadcasts originate from
a secondary lower power transmitter. Many broadcast stations
consider the NTSC signal to have the largest viewing audience.

Presumably, the stations save big bucks on power usage by
operating digital transmitters at less than full power.
Local stations don't put much effort in satisfying the
desires of a niche viewership.

Yeah, this is the first time ever. I'm sure it was just a feed problem, as it
went away that afternoon.
