My answer would be "no". I was surprised how many channels I watched
this past weekend. Not counting network/local (which are free), I
tuned to:

TBS
WGN
ABC family
TV land
TNT
Oxygen
Hallmark
Fox News
CNN
Weather channel
Spike
VH1
Animal Planet
History channel
TCM
AMC
Cartoon

The FCC/Booz-Allen report (the second revised version) estimated the
"ala carte" pricetag would be ~$5/channel. So I'd be spending about
$75-80...... much much more than the current "take all 60 channels"
combined bill.

Ala-carte is not something I support. I prefer the current "bundled"
approach.

Requiring the cable providers to provide A La Carte != requiring the
cable providers to ONLY provide A La Carte.

Kelvin...
Exactly. But some afraid that the channels that they do watch will
not be heavily subsidized, while others, who only watch 5-6 channels,
will benefit in the cost reduction.

Margarita Salt...
Well, considering cable comes free with my apartment, I'm not terribly
worried. ;)

However, I would reduce the number of channels I watch specifically to
save money.
