Howard Stern was not on Jimmy Kimmel tonight

He wasn't actually in the chair next to Kimmel; they had him in front of a
green screen and superimposed him sitting next to Kimmel. Was he actually
in New York? It was a very odd interview. Does Kimmel do that a lot?

No, but Howard and Jimmy are friends, they even went on Vacation
together along Beth O and Sarah Silverman, so Jimmy went out of his way
to be accommodate Howard, Howard initially wanted Jimmy to bring his
whole show to NYC but agreed to the satillite hook-up.

Howard was in NYC where he lives. He didn't want to fly all the way
out to LA just for that one interview after doing Letterman and Conan
in NYC earlier this week to promote Sirius for the holiday shoppers.
Jimmy agreed to this of course because he loves Howard and because
Howard rarely does talk show appearances. I thought the effect looked
pretty good, except for a little shimmer around the edges of Howard.
