"I Am God"
4-11-06 VM
Jonathan Roberts...

Seems to be beginning to roll toward the season finale. I'll give it a
4.0.

5 stars (Matthew 28:20)
0-1 stars (Jonah 2:1)

4.25 It's been a long time since an episode was so good that I was
disapointed that it ended

I don't do scores, but the entire episode was worth it for Meg's shirt
alone.
Ian J. Ball...

I'm blanking - what was on Meg's shirt?
VMwannabe...
|
I believe Meg's shirt said Baby On Board.
|
Ian (I was also confused by the Meg-Veronica scene - why did Meg have
any contact with the janitor guy?...)
vague disclaimer...
|
"Baby on board".
My favourite sight gag since Billy Gibbons turned out to be Angela's dad
in Bones.

I was confused by the Logan flashback to the necking scene* to prove
Veronica had met the janitor. Was one of the two guys that knocked on the
car window a janitor??
archang...
|
Yeah, I was quite annoyed with that stuff*, because putting them
in flashbacks seemed to be saying "whooops, we're almost to the end of the
season and we forgot to put these clues in the episodes they should have
gone in!"
* also Veronica revealed to have heard a _second_ call from the bus.
Call it a 3.0 for entertainment -- woulda been a 4.0 if I didn't
feel so cheated.

*I'll be in my bunk

Yes. One was the janitor. Wasn't the other Dick?
shawn...
|
Yes, he was. I certainly never knew the one guy that knocked on the
door was a janitor. He certainly seemed to be into some shady deal
from the way he was talking.

Meg's parents kept inviting Lucky the janitor over for dinner. He was
a member of their church, I think.

Is Veronica going to Stanford, if she does and CW buys a 3rd series does
that mean most the cast vanish or is she going to be making many trips to
Neptune ? or is she going to suddenly decide to go to the local college
(e.g. Buffy, Smallville ..etc.)

Based on the previews for next week, I'm guessing

I don't see any way VM isn't going to end up at Hearst.
VMwannabe...

I agree, there is no way she won't be at Hearst with Wallace and I want
Logan to be around too, even if in reality it is far fetched. Maybe
Logan will have to stay in Neptune because of pending law problems?
What else would keep him around? I don't think VM would be VM without
Logan.

3 stars.
Pretty good episode. I was glad to see so much time
devoted to the main plot, with some new pieces of information
revealed. Although, I felt disappointed when "I Am God"
turned out to be nothing more than the name of some song.
Bit of a let down IMO.
The secondary plot involving Logan, Wallace, and the egg
assignment was pretty good, with a very interesting dynamic
betwwen Logan and Wallace. I liked Wallace a lot in this
episode, which is something I haven't been able to say for
a long time.
The other secondary plot involving Keith and Principal Clemons
was far less interesting. The writers would have done better
to focus more attention on Veronica and her dreams, rather than this
awkwardly tacked on plot line.
This episode would have been scored even higher by me, but lost
points as a result of the sophomoric and obvious double entendres,
most of which were uttered by Dick.
BTW...I have absolutely no interest in knowing the ingredients
contained in a "ribwich" (-:
