KalElFan...
Spoiler warning in the thread title.

I wasn't planning to watch this show but the reviews and
comments on the pilot were good and so I caught a repeat
of it that Global aired here in Canada the weekend after it
premiered. Since then I've been watching on Mondays,
including episode 4 tonight.

I still have a bit of skepticism that it'll be sustainable, but
it's a Great show at this point! Hiro Nakamura is the star
so far, and that cliffhanger ending tonight on the subway
was one of the best I've seen since... well, since the one
where he saw the nuclear explosion a few weeks back.

funny you say that I thought last week's "cliffhanger", if you can call
it that, was just about one of the best Ive seen, namely when the girl
wakes up on the autopsy table with her chest sliced wide open. Pretty
creepy.

What a writer foreshadowing tool this guy is! :-) But I'm
liking all the other characters too.

David posted a zap2it interview of creator Tim Kring, and
I also liked most of that especially the season story arc
concept (i.e. 24-like) if I've understood it correctly. The
creative team also seems strong. I could do without the
gore (though last week's ending was also memorable), but
the Kring interview said they'd be toning that down.

Kring also said he was uncomfortable with the perception of
the show being as a Justice League or the like, and I've seen
a few negative comments on that but I can see his concern.
I don't thing that perception helps. It should be more real-
life characters, except for the powers and the stakes being
high. Ideally, I think the names "Hiro Nakamura" and "Peter
Petrelli" (sp?) are what become famous if the series succeeds
and runs for years, not "Master of Space and Time" or "Copy
Cat Boy" :-)

My PVR Guide has 3 episodes of Heroes, I believe episodes
2 through 4, replaying on NBC this Sunday night. I'm not sure
why that is (i.e., why no football game), but if true it's a great
opportunity to catch the show for those who haven't yet.
