Benson on TV Land

The one episode where they are snowed in at the cabin is the funniest
one I've seen out of them all.

It seems the first season of Benson was the funniest. After that I
thought the show was boring.

All the cast changes hurt it. Taylor was good and I don't know why they
replaced him with Clayton who reminded me of Mr. Mooney from the Lucy
show. The first secretary, Marcie, was better than Denise. I like Didi
Conn but the show didn't need another wacky character, they needed a
straight man (woman), and that's what Marcie was for. Later on they
brought on the old lady housekeeper, and she stunk.

I agree. It seems every time the cast changed, it was usually for the
worse. The one exception was Taylor - his character was far better than the
guy they had in the pilot.

But at least they acknowledged the changes most of the time and even had
send-off episodes for some of the characters.

Benson's a good show - it's the only thing I watch on TV Land right now.
I'd like to see some of the other 80's shows that don't get shown much - Mr.
Belvedere and Perfect Strangers come to mind. The Charmings would be nice
too, although that's a long shot.
