OK, is it just me, or is anyone else figuring out the secret
message tricks way ahead of these contestants? I mean, last
night as soon as I saw that big blank section of parchment
I figured it was the old heat the paper to reveal the message
trick. When they got to the church and there were candles
*everywhere* I was sure of it.

Likewise, the breathing on the mirror thing a couple weeks
ago was the first thing I thought of when I saw those
mirrors.

At least the Geniuses figured out the heat thing quickly,
but what took ex-CIA so long? That's an old and well
known trick.

I also wondered why they didn't know their history(Last episode I knew
the mask would probably be of Lafayette, and that before they mentioned
Paris), and none knew Franklin was a spy. Seesh, I knew that, and I'm
Canadian.

We tend to be better at US history than Americans. :)

But my real question is, why not just search on ask.com for Franklin
and cryptography. I mean they were given the computers for a reason,
why don't they use them.

I'm guessing there are some things they're not allowed to look up.
There's been a couple of occasions where I wondered why they hadn't
pulled out the computer.

I want to throw stones, but how on the ball would I be at this stage of
the race? After having just wandered around swamps etc, would I be as
sharp? I don't think so.

Yeah, I sort of wonder that myself. I'm sure not being sleep deprived
and worn out does help. But, the Geniuses figured it out really quick
and that allowed them to stay in the game.
