I can't wait for tonight's Halloween ep of the Simpsons!

FOX always likes to air their Holloween episode of the Simpsons just a
little earlier than anyone else. Holloween 2007 is going to be great, I
think I'll put my decorations up after the show.

I'm glad people are converting to my way of thinking.

Too often, they gripe about the "Halloween" episode (they stopped
calling them "Halloween" shows some years back) coming late.

Huh? What do they call it? The "Pre-Election Day Show"? You must be
joking.

And why would Fox air a Halloween show almost a week after Halloween?

But of course you can look at it as coming early.

It would be nice if FOX always re-aired it closer to Halloween. Since
it's a repeat at that point, they could stuff it in somewhere when a
baseball game is cancelled, or as a special presentation on a special
night.

Oddly, I saw fewer Halloween episodes of The Simpsons this year. Usually
Global here in Canada airs a two hour block on a Saturday night before
Halloween of Halloween episodes, and may even put some in their usual
Saturday and Sunday afternoon airings. The CBC airs episodes every
weekday at 5pm, and in the past they've aired a number of them leading
up to Halloween, but this year they aired one the day before, and maybe
on Halloween (I can't remember). It seemed odd.

The "local" FOX outlet airs Home Improvements weekday afternoons, and
in the past they've run Halloween episodes leading up to Halloween, but
again, they only aired one such episode, on Halloween itself.

It was almost as if Halloween had been downgraded this year.
