Watching on the Sci Fi marathon

Okay, where and when did they get a pod, and how do they know it's a
time machine? There must be an SG1 I missed somewhere . . .

I believe the time traveling jumper was found in an Atlantis
episode...say #115?

Is that the SAME jumper? How did SG1 get their hands on it? Mobius
just has Sam saying "we've got a time machine" and they refer to Jack
having had no trouble flying it previously.

They'd already determined that it was because Daniel decyphered the
Ancient texts on the pillars that described events that hadn't
happened yet.

It was left behind when the ancients living in Atlantis came to earth.
There was a story or two about it earlier in the season.

I rewatched this myself on Friday. The first time I saw it, I thought it
was muddled, but on a second viewing, I get exactly what they were trying

Okay, I'd like to take a stab at this one.

a. The Ancients abandon the city of Atlantis and submerge it below the
ocean using an energy shield to keep the water from flooding the
city.The power for the shield comes from 3 ZPM's (zero point modules)
b. 10,000 years pass as the shield continuously draws power from the
ZPM's
c. Dr. Weir and her team arrive for the very first time in Atlantis.
d. Their arrival is detected by the city's automated systems, and they
begin to power up the city's secondary systems.
e. The shield begins to collapse as the last of the power in the ZPM's
drains away.
f. Weir, Shepherd, and a few others find and escape in the
time-machine/puddle jumper. they travel 10,000 years into the past.
g. When Weir arrives in the past, they appear in the midst of an
assault by the Wraith.
h. The Wraith shoot the time-machine/puddle jumper down, and it crashes
into the ocean. Only Weir survives, rescued by the Ancients.
i. The time-machine/puddle jumper (and Weir's clothes) is not
recovered.
j. Weir explains the events of her trip to the creater of the time
machine and the other Ancients, who are preparing to submerge and
abandon Atlantis.
k. The ancients demand that the inventor abandon his work on the time
machine.
l. He and Weir devise a plan to conserve more of the ZPM's power over
the next 10,000 years and raise the city when any humans arrive.
m. ALL of the ancients leave for Earth via the stargate. Weir is left
alone in suspended animation.
n. 10,000 years pass
o. Weir2 and her team arrive in Atlantis through the stargate and
survive this time because the ZPM has more power. However, there is not
enough power to contact Earth.
p. Back on Earth, SG1 travels to Maybourne's planet and discover a
time-machine/puddle jumper.
q. They use this time-machine/puddle jumper to travel to ancient Egypt
to retrieve a ZPM in order to contact Atlantis later. The mission
fails, but the ZPM and the time machine are stored away safely.
r. 5,000 years pass
s. Alternate SG1 retrieve the stored time machine from modern Egypt,
and travel back 5,000 years in an attempt to correct changes to the
timeline.
t. The timeline is corrected.
u. Normal SG1 retrieve the ZPM and decide not to travel back to ancient
Eqypt.

actually that's not Normal SG1. That's "fish in the pond" SG1.

v. The ZPM is used to contact Atlantis successfully.

I seems to me that there are:

2 puddle-jumper/time machines in Eqypt (1 from Normal SG1 and 1 from
Alternate SG1)
1 sunkin partially coroded puddle-jumper/time machine at the bottom of
the ocean on the Atlantis planet.

leaving a total of 3 puddle-jumper/time machines. At least one is
functional. The second may be functional. The sunken one is doubtful.

Well, "It's Good to be King" was also the episode where they were reading
the Ancient's listing of all the major events on that planet that had yet to
happen. They pretty much realized it was a time machine before they
realized it was a spacecraft.

We don't know that they are in Egypt. We know that's the last place we
saw it/them. But we don't know if the SG-1 prime/original/or whatever
used it after they fixed the timeline.
