Sadly, you are right. There's almost nothing for HD-rentable(or free)
movies. Their regular(non HD) movies, free or pay, are not interesting.
They could compete against HD-DVD and Blu-Ray a bit with more HD-movies
on demand, but I guess not.

Have you tried other cable providers'? I've used Time Warner's and
Cablevision's and from what I can tell Comcast blows them out of the
water.

Sinclair must be worse still, whenever I visit a town using Sinclair there
always seems to be a couple of channels featuring a talking head complaining
about Sinclair's dodgy practices

No, I haven't. I wish more networks would offer their shows on demand. But
I guess that's not really under their control. My favorite is Something
Weird. :-)
