I think Amy's "Woo, sisterhood!" made the episode for me.

Amy's a character that's sure gone all over the map - I didn't like her
at first, then I think I started to like her at some point, then I
didn't like her again, (then I didn't watch this show for a time), and
then at the end I kind of liked her again.
But I sure wouldn't want her as a girlfriend! ;)

Brown boy if I was a woman, either!)

The reason why Amy and Ephram are bad for each other is that they fail
to grow as individuals when they are together. Amy doesn't have any
interests, hobbies or aspirations beyond Ephram. The one thing she did
do early in the show--ballet/dancing--was promptly dropped after she
became obsessed with Ephram. And when she was going out with him, all
she had to talk about was their relationship, 24/7. She's very
one-dimensional.
And Eph is at his most annoying when he was with Amy. Does anyone
forget that his major downward spiral started with his relationship to
Amy? At least the Madison thing had that naughty excitement to it.
When he broke up with Amy, he started becoming more social with others,
started piecing together his life again.
So in fact, even though most Everwood fans wanted them together, the
fact is, putting them back together is the most depressing ending they
could have conceived!

I always thought Ephram would end up with Hannah -- they share some
personality traits. But then I guess that would have left Brith and Amy
alone.
Whatever the case, this show was terrific and they made a mistake in
ending it (and also by switching nights this season).
