mvp...
Spoiler if you didn't sit through all the credits.
This was a hoot.

wbe...
I haven't paid attention to who the animated characters are, but I assume
they're writers or producers. Those tiny animations have appeared after
every show, and it changes every week.
-WBE

On my first viewing, my recording didn't have the last minute
or so, so I got it on the reply, and there at the very
end, after all the credits...

I assume one of those two guys was Moore. Who was the other?

fruitbat...
I thought it was Eick. It's their production company, isn't it? R&D, or
something?

It looked like we were being winked at.

"And now a moment of zen while we contemplate this season*URK!!!"
"Payback..."

fruitbat...
They do something different for every episode, though I suppose it's
not always broadcast. I hadn't seen any until I watched the S1 DVDs,
but I think they've been showing them for the last couple broadcast
episodes now. It wasn't something unique to the finale. They're kind of
silly, though a few have made me snicker.

Brian Henderson...
Around here they've always been shown. That's the best part of the
show and even if we're not watching it and just waiting for Stargate
to come on, we'll tune in a minute or two early just to see it.

This would tend to make me suspect this *was* a dream.
(Yeah, I know, I've read here about the podcasts where
Moore denies that.)

fruitbat...
I can't be *more* sure that it's not a dream. People point to Baltar
waking up with his head on the desk, but it seems obvious to me that it
was meant just as a clever segue to the 1-year-later setting (and it
*was* clever, I thought).

Patrick Joseph McNamara...
I think there would be many angry fans if the entire new BG just turned out
to be Baltar's delusion.

Northwest Gator Fan...
Nah, it's all Apollo's Dream (Richard Hatch's Apollo). Imagine the splain
to do he'll have tellin Starbuck he was a woman lol

cloud dreamer...
It's not a dream according to everything Moore is saying. I doubt he'd
hold these interviews and lie through his teeth.

Obveeus...
Why? How would it diminish the entertainment value of the show if it all
turned out to be 'Baltar's delusion'? Are there fans out there that think
the show is something other than 'someone's delusion' put on the screen for
entertainment?

I never understood why some people thought the last moments of St. Elsewhere
were a letdown, either.

Northwest Gator Fan...
Eh, it's almost as over used as the dream thing.

But more than that, the "it was all a dream" device is so cliche that I

Obveeus...
Aw, come on. If the last 15 seconds of St. Elsewhere didn't happen and you
went on believing that all the characters were 'real', would you still be
worrying if they were ok?

Obveeus...
ruin

Obveeus...
Right...add a snowglobe to the last shot of the series in the hopes of
destroying the syndication money. That sounds like a realistic theory as to
why the writers did it. How anyone could fail to enjoy the entire series
because it turned out not to 'be real' *when nothing on scripted TV is real*
boggles the mind.

Obveeus...
I hate to be the one to tell you, but all the time you spend watching TV is

Northwest Gator Fan...
Not all of it. There is educational stuff :)

wasted.

would be shocked if Moore used it. So far he's stayed away from the
sort of "trick" (or resetting) plots that were common on Trek, and I
just can't believe he'd do something so overused just to create a good
season-ending cliffhanger.

If it turns out this was a dream, someone needs to deliver
a hungry anaconda to Moore's house.

Ookie Wonderslug...
Best dream ending ever would have been for the Matrix movies.

Just imagine seconds after the last shot the camera pulls away from a
shaggy mop of black hair to reveal Bill & Ted's apartment. Ted wakes
up and says "Bill, I just had the most bogus dream!!".

Now that would have been the perfect dream ending for a movie.

MarkRRose...
Would have been worth sitting through he horrible sequels for that too :)
