Boondocks

I can't explain why, but the fight between
Huey and Riley in the first half of last week's
"Boondocks" was one of the funniest things I've
seen on TV recently. Brilliant.

Just as an aside, Teletoon (the Canadian cartoon network) has started
showing Boondocks in its "Detour" (adult cartoon) block. I've missed
the first episode and will probably miss more - it's on Friday nights,
when I'm rarely home - but I'm looking forward to catching it at some
point.

It's funny because despite Huey and Riley being wise beyoned their years
and immersed in all these adult situations and heavy social commentary,
they're still just a couple of bickering little brothers. It's almost
as if they've stepped out of their roles in order to be little boys for
a few minutes.

Not that great an episode in general (probably owing to a lack of
Grandad), but I agree -- that was just jaw-droppingly awesome *and*
hilarious.
