Granted, I missed it (and my New Shows Poll posting for last nite!
), but I'm shocked no one's even mentioned it yet.
What gives?!
Did the 6th season premiere suck that badly?!!

What is this thing smallville you speak of?
|
altec3220...
|
No, it just returned the series to its status quo, more or less. Clark
is even angstier now, if possible.

Anim8rFSK...

No, it was okay. Not vastly wonderful, but not bad. Unfortunately they
wrapped up EVERYTHING so I guess next week will just be 'monster of the
week' again.

I only watched the last half of it but like you I was surprised to see
all left-over elements from the previous apparently resolved with
nothing left out there to play out over subsequent eps. I really
expected Zod to inhabit Lex for a while longer, at least. Was last

Supposedly the network wanted them to wrap the Zod arc up in just one
episode.

night the first appearance of the "official" Superman emblem on the
show? They have used something like it in the past but with what looks
like our numeral "8" in place of the "S", but last night he used the
actual classic emblem to defeat Zod.

Warner Brother wanted the Smallville PTB to incorporate more stuff from the
films so they replaced the 8 symbol with the S-shield. Also that's why they
offed Pa Kent and made Clark's fortress like theone in the films. I think
that's why they've begun hinting at a Clark/Lois pairing.
|
|
The saddest part was that Pa Kent isn't in the open any more. :(

Jonathan got out while the getting's good.

Hold on, there - - remember Clark's escape through the gateway - - a few of
baddys flew through after Clark, and after the commercial, looking up in the
sky, there were five points of light, where the center one was Clark, but
the four others flew off in different directions. At the end of the episode,
at the Falls in Patagonia Argentina, you saw a wraith flit across the water
and come right up to the camera. I suspect that was just one of Clarks
future challenges.

Which he already has the solution for--literally handed to him.

I thought it was cancelled.

Ken from Chicago...
|
No, worse, it was rather ... blah.
The solution is literally handed to Clark.

There's some talk over at alt.tv.smallville.
Was there an image of Terrance Stamp from Superman 2 leaving Lex's body?
jayembee...
|
So I wasn't just seeing things. Nice to know.
|
Kneel before Zod!
jayembee...
|
I was waiting for that line. Too bad he didn't say the full line:
"Son of Jor-El...kneel before Zod!"
|

|
I was really anticipating that line. _NO_ONE_ could say it better than Master Stamp.
Arthur Lipscomb...
|
Yeah, Lex's delivery of the line was a bit underwhelming. But at least he
said it.
I was hoping Clark would shake his head and smirk as he defeated Zod.
Anim8rFSK...
|
He did hit him with the house of El family crest, but at least he didn't
rip it off his chest.
|
jayembee...
|
I was hoping that when Lex/Zod revealed his true nature to Lana,
she'd say, "Oh, God," to which he'd reply, "No...Zod!"
~consul...
|
I'd expect that Lex would do that line even less capably. That takes even more panache. :)
