Best Performance in a TV Commercial

Peter Stormare in the VW "pimp my ride" commercials. Those commercials
make me laugh and laugh.

They're great, and right up there with those office guys doing the "baby,
baby" dance. I personally like the hot, German blonde in the white mini-
skirt. Ach du lieber!

Yup, I've been wondering when someone would post about these
commercials. I like the one where the blond points to the above-the-hood
intake valve (or whatever it is) and says "It is definitely sucking!!"

That little trebuchet was pretty cool. Smash my pimped ride!

I had hoped it would throw the car off into the wild blue but it just
sort of slams down on the other side. Still pretty cool, ja!

The engineering on the threbuchet was fascinating. They clearly
designed to be small enough to have exactly the correct amount of force
to toss the car in a very symmetrical arc to crash on the opposite side
of the treb, at an identical distance from the treb as the launching
point. It was the precise, bare minimum to accomplish the task, making
the symmetry of the flight path quite artistic. And the technology was
so much more advanced than just dropping a banal shipping container onto
it. Who knew that so many people watched "Nova" on PBS?
